LTG Cargo Ukraine becomes member of one of the largest business associations in Ukraine

2025-02-18

LTG Cargo Ukraine, the rail freight subsidiary of LTG Cargo in Ukraine, has become a member of the European Business Association (EBA), one of the largest and most influential business associations in the country.

“Four years ago, we established LTG Cargo Ukraine to diversify our rail freight business and to become a logistics partner providing freight forwarding, asset leasing and transportation services in Ukraine. Despite the war launched by Russia three years ago, the company continues to operate in Ukraine, helping to ensure that the goods needed by its businesses and people reach the country, and that Ukrainian manufacturers can transport their products to other countries and continue their operations,” says Eglė Šimė, Head of LTG Cargo.

According to Saulius Stasiūnas, CEO of LTG Cargo Ukraine, the EBA is a trusted advisor in relations with state authorities in order to protect the legal relations, rights and interests of its member companies and to improve the business environment, and its membership is important in a number of other ways.

“Membership in this association for LTG Cargo Ukraine first of all means a direct contact with the largest businesses operating in Ukraine, as the association unites almost 1000 Ukrainian and foreign companies with a large cargo base, terminals and rolling stock, such as Lemtrans, Ferrexpo, KERNEL, Astarta, Metinvest, Bunge, TIS, and others,” says Mr Stasiūnas.

The European Business Association, based in Kyiv with branches in Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Dnipro, started its activities in 1999 and now has almost 1000 members from all over Europe and the world, as well as 56 foreign embassies in Ukraine.

‘We welcome LTG Cargo Ukraine to our dynamic business community and look forward to further cooperation. We believe the company’s expertise and commitment will contribute to our shared goal – making Ukraine a better place for doing business’, says Anna Derevyanko, EBA Executive Director.

LTG Cargo Ukraine develops rail freight transport activities in Ukraine, provides rolling stock leasing and freight transport services and aims to strengthen logistics supply chains between Lithuania and Ukraine.

LTG Cargo is an LTG Group company that will continue its active integration and expansion in the West. The company provides freight transport, logistics and forwarding, freight loading, locomotive and wagon repair and wagon rental services in Lithuania and abroad. LTG Cargo has established and operates LTG Cargo Polska in Poland and LTG Cargo Ukraine in Ukraine. To develop greener rail freight transport, the company has a team of 1,700 logistics professionals.
