LTG Cargo Ukraine and industrial park operator Kopresorna Tekhnika have signed the first long-term lease agreement for a ChMe3 shunting locomotiv

This year, LTG Cargo overhauled an old-generation ChMe3 series shunting locomotive. It will be prepared for operation on the 1,435 mm gauge in Kovel Porto Industrial Park, where one of Ukraine’s largest railway car factory, Dneprvagonmash, is being built and where 1,435 standard wagons will be manufactured. The park will also operate container, semi-trailer, grain, and other cargo terminals, alongside green energy projects.

This partnership demonstrates how effective rolling stock leasing strengthens logistics capabilities across the region and supports the growth of Ukrainian businesses. Agreement marks a key milestone in launching freight flows and rail connectivity via the European standard gauge between Kaunas and Kovel.
