On September 16 of this year, the official opening of the LTG Cargo Ukraine office took place in Kiev, which was also attended by a delegation of LTG executives from Lithuania. During the visit, LTG CEO M. Bartuška met with the newly appointed Head of the Ukrainian Railway Board A. Kamyshin. During the meeting, various possible cooperation projects were discussed: transportation of semi-trailers on the Klaipeda-Chornomorsk route, issues of locomotive rental, wagon repair and production, the issue of revitalization of the passenger transportation project “The Four Capitals”, etc.
The opening of the LTG Cargo Ukraine office is an important step in developing cooperation with Ukrainian partners. The main goals of LTG Cargo Ukraine are: rental of shunting locomotives to private Ukrainian companies, rental of wagons, increase of cargo flows between Lithuania and Ukraine, forwarding activities and development of multimodal transportation.
