LTG Cargo Ukraine successfully completed the project to transport 200 new grainhoppers from Ukraine to Lithuania

2025-03-07

LTG Cargo Ukraine, a rail freight forwarding company, has successfully delivered 200 new grainhoppers to Lithuania. This project is special because the grainhoppers were transported across several countries and transferred from the European to the broad gauge track at the Šeštokai intermodal terminal.

“This is an example of a technically challenging project, where large wagons are transferred across the territory of another country. This is a result of trust and success. Thank you, LTG Cargo Ukraine, for your professionalism!” – Commented Maxim Kramarenko, Chairman of the Board of the Kryukov Railway Car Building Works, “We are delighted that the project of LTG Cargo Ukraine in cooperation with its partners and the Kryukov Railway Car Building Works was successfully completed and 200 grain wagons were transported from Ukraine to Lithuania.”

The new wagons were purchased by LTG Cargo, the Lithuanian rail freight company, in order to respond to the growing market demand and to increase the volume of grain transport. The wagons were purchased from a Ukrainian manufacturer, thus strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian manufacturers and LTG Group companies.

In 2024, LTG Cargo set a record for grain shipments, transporting around 270,000 tonnes of grain in single month. The renewed fleet of wagons helps us to offer our customers even more efficient, comfortable, sustainable and competitive freight solutions.

LTG Cargo Ukraine develops rail freight transport activities in Ukraine, provides rolling stock leasing and freight transport services and aims to strengthen logistics supply chains between Lithuania and Ukraine.

LTG Cargo is an LTG Group company that will continue its active integration and expansion in the West.
