Commerce Manager of LTG Cargo Ukraine: our main advantage is our experience as well as wide geography of operation

Cargo transportation company LTG Cargo Ukraine, which commenced the activity in Ukraine back in 2021, starts this year by expanding the range of activities and introducing new freight forwarding services. Commerce Manager of the company Paulius Grubinskas claimed that this step forward will enable the company to participate in the cargo transportation market even more actively as well as to provide services both in Ukraine and in international cargo transportation market.

The market of Ukraine is exceptionally large and complicated. What encouraged to commence the development this year namely from providing freight forwarding services to the clients?

Actually, back when our company was established in Ukraine, provision of freight forwarding services was one of the initial goals of the company. There are many wagon fleet operators and other transport companies operating in the Ukrainian market, therefore all the pre-conditions for the provision of freight forwarding services were created.

First of all, this service will allow us to get actively involved in cargo transportation market. Despite the fact that the competition within the market of such services is rather high, it is obvious that the demand for high-quality and reliable services is even higher, since even before commencing this activity, we used to receive lots of inquiries about the possibilities to engage in freight forwarding together. Before starting the provision of these services, we were willing to find the best team, to attract the right specialists who would meet high standards and have extensive professional experience in providing freight forwarding services, namely, in the Ukrainian railway sector.

What are your target clients and what benefits can you offer them?

Our main advantage is the ability to cover a large cargo transportation area. For customers who transport cargo between Lithuania and Ukraine, we can offer the operation of the entire route both in Ukraine and Lithuania. If there is a demand among the in Ukraine, we can operate the transit of customer cargo across Belarus and, if necessary, we aim to ensure transit opportunities across Poland. This means that a customer willing to transport cargo will not have to choose three different partners in each of the countries. We will simultaneously strive to develop opportunities to transport the cargo of the customers across Lithuania and Klaipėda Seaport to other markets.

The entire process will be controlled from one company, which will allow to save time for the customers as well as other resources, ensure easier communication and high-quality services. We can offer our customers an exceptionally wide range of services: wagon rental and delivery, terminal services, and from now on – freight forwarding as well. By operating in different countries, we will be able to be more flexible and competitive and offer beneficial pricing. We can already see that we are able to offer even slightly lower freight forwarding rates than the market standard.

You single out the provision of a wide range of services from one source as one of the main advantages. How do you plan to ensure synergy between group companies operating in different countries?

We ensure synergy since the very first days of operation in Ukraine, together with the parent company LTG Cargo operating in Lithuania, we have signed an agreement for the provision of freight forwarding services in the Ukrainian market. We are already executing the first container shipment orders. Working in both markets, we can rely on the accumulated experience, make good use of the competitive advantages provided by the group and, thus, ensure both high quality of service and reliability. This year, we plan to further expand the range of services and to create freight forwarding corridors using different tracks to and from Western Europe, Scandinavia and Eastern countries, working together with our partners.
