Recently, LTG Cargo Ukraine CEO Saulius Stasiūnas, together with LTG Group, participated in a powerful and unifying event – the “Day of Solidarity with Ukrainian Railways” held in Kyiv. This event brought together not just Ukrainian railways but also counterparts from Poland, Romania, Austria, Moldova, Latvia, and Hungary.
During this significant gathering, Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ) presented its ambitious 10-year activity strategy and plans. The core of these plans includes the integration of Ukrainian railways into the European railway network, substantial investments in expanding the 1435 mm carriage network by 3100 kilometers in Ukraine, and the acquisition of new 1435 rolling stock.
In these challenging times, it’s important to stand together and support those who work tirelessly to ensure the safety of passengers and the seamless movement of strategic cargo. Our colleagues in Ukraine face daily challenges and dangers, and we are proud to stand with them in their efforts. Together, we will pave the way for a more connected and efficient railway network, benefitting not only Ukraine but the European railway community.
